Green beans with a kick

Ok this recipe I have been making for as long as I can remember.

2 large cans of green beans drained
1 small onion diced small
2 cups of broth your choice I use chicken
4 to 5 slices of bacon or thick country ham
4 to 5 small potatoes peeled and diced large

Start with your green beans cooking on medium to low heat , add potatoes and broth.
Next add in onion and your meat . I use both meats if I am cooking a huge pan like during the holidays, there is normally not any left over . Now you just season to taste with a little salt and pepper and I add just a little garlic. Your family will love it.


                                                              
Now all you need is the cornbread to sop up the juices
